The AI Manager is Echelon’s central orchestration layer — the system that decides what needs to happen, which AI Employee should handle it, and when to act. Instead of manually triaging tasks, chasing stale leads, or coordinating follow-ups, you set your goals and the AI Manager keeps everything in motion behind the scenes.

What the AI Manager does

The AI Manager continuously monitors your pipelines and contact data to surface what matters most. It handles the operational work that would otherwise fall through the cracks:

Task assignment

Routes incoming work to the right AI Employee based on context — outreach, replies, billing, and more.

Sequence management

Kicks off and coordinates multi-step sequences across your contacts and deals.

Stale lead identification

Scans your pipeline for contacts that have gone cold and flags them for re-engagement.

Workflow optimization

Adjusts how work flows through your pipelines to reduce bottlenecks and keep deals moving.

How the AI Manager assigns work

When the AI Manager identifies an action — say, a lead that hasn’t been contacted in two weeks — it selects the appropriate AI Employee and hands off a specific task with the context that employee needs to act. You don’t need to write the brief, choose the template, or press send.
1

The AI Manager scans your pipelines

It continuously reviews contact activity, deal stages, and open tasks to find where action is needed.
2

It selects the right AI Employee

Based on the task type, the Manager routes to the correct specialist — Sales AI for outreach, Billing AI for invoices, and so on.
3

The AI Employee executes the task

Your AI Employee carries out the work: drafting a message, sending a reminder, or updating a record.
4

You review results, not tasks

The Manager surfaces outcomes and exceptions for your attention. You stay focused on decisions, not execution.

Auto-Mode

In Auto-Mode, the AI Manager acts fully autonomously. It doesn’t wait for your input to assign tasks or launch sequences — it acts on your behalf based on your configured goals and pipeline rules.
Auto-Mode is available on the Scale plan only. On Starter and Growth plans, the AI Manager assists and recommends, but requires your approval before taking action.
Auto-Mode is designed for teams that want operations to run overnight, over weekends, or across time zones without gaps in follow-up.

Weekly strategy reports

On Growth and Scale plans, the AI Manager generates a weekly strategy report that summarizes what happened in your pipelines, what the AI Employees accomplished, and where opportunities remain. Use these reports to refine your approach without digging into raw CRM data.
Weekly reports are delivered automatically. You don’t need to configure a schedule — the AI Manager produces them at the end of each week.

Example: reviving cold leads automatically

One of the most common use cases for the AI Manager is re-engaging leads that have gone quiet. Here’s how it works end to end:
1

The AI Manager identifies stale leads

It scans your pipeline and flags contacts who haven’t been touched within your defined window.
2

Sales AI drafts personalized outreach

The Manager assigns your Sales AI Employee, which writes a tailored message for each contact based on their history and context.
3

Sequences run automatically

The AI Manager triggers the sequence and monitors responses, escalating replies that need your attention.
4

You review results

Once the sequence runs, you see what landed — opens, replies, and booked meetings — without having touched a single contact manually.
Pair Auto-Mode with a well-configured Sales AI Employee to handle lead revival entirely hands-off. Set your criteria once and let the Manager keep your pipeline warm.
